Georgie Marcum

Georgie Marcum, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away at Parkside Nursing Center on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 11:00AM. She was born in Hamilton on April 12, 1935 to David and Nannie (Allen) Smith. Georgie was employed at Fort Hamilton Hospital and retired in 1995. On November 25th, 1977 in Hamilton, she married Ralph Marcum. She always put her family first and loved camping, fishing, and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years Ralph Marcum; three children, Teresa Ann (Donald) Gibson-Pridemore, George David (Ilene) Gibson, Teresa Gail Marcum; eleven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; four sisters, Eva Marcum, Oma Retherford, Pearl Huff, and Bonnie Cary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ralph Marcum Jr.; her sister, Nancy Catherine Gregory; her brothers, Paul Smith, and Edward Adams.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 12Noon with Rev. Damon Retherford officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11AM - 12noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Fort Hamilton Hospital in her honor.
