Gerald G. "Pete" Froelke

Gerald G. "Pete" Froelke, age 71 of Hamilton passed away at Ohio State Medical Center on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 7:07 PM. He was born in Hamilton on September 27, 1938 the son of Gerald G. and Frances (Bov) Froelke. Pete was a 1956 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School, a 1960 graduate of Notre Dame University, and a 1963 graduate of University of Cincinnati Law School. He was an attorney at Wessel and Froelke for 47 years, as well as the prosecutor for the City of Fairfield for 41 years. Pete was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and BPOE Lodge # 93. He was an avid golfer and Notre Dame Football fan. On August 7, 1971 he married Patti (O’Brien) Biondo.

He is survived by his wife, Patti Froelke of Hamilton; three children, John (Tanya) Biondo of Muscatine, Iowa, Rich (Marla) Biondo of Fairfield, and Kathy (Rob) Middendorf of Hamilton; a son-in-law, Rick Flick of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Joe Biondo, Ben Flick, Jacob Middendorf, Jack Biondo, Abby Middendorf, Phillip Biondo, and Mia Biondo; a brother, Frank (Sue) Froelke of Hamilton; and a sister, Jane C. Froelke of Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Theresa Flick.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Avenue, on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Jeffrey Bacon and Fr. Michael Hay, Celebrants. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be directed to Badin High School and Queen of Peace Church.
