Geraldine "Geri" Farthing

Geraldine "Geri" Farthing, age 81 of Hamilton went to be with the Lord at Wellington Manor on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 7:20 PM. She was born in Hamilton on September 30, 1929 the daughter of Lloyd and Fern (Lewis) Buckley. Geraldine was a talented musician who loved singing and playing the guitar. She was a member of Princeton Pike Church of God. On December 27, 1968 in Jellico, Tennessee she married Henry Farthing, and he preceded her in death in 1983.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie (John) Hill and Lisa Farthing-Johnson; four grandchildren, Carl Hill, Amber Harwell, Vanessa Pennington, and Dalton Harrison; six great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, David (Vickie) Farthing, Joel (Mary) Farthing, Cheryl Egan, and Lorie Farthing; and seven step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a stepdaughter, Tracie Graham; two brothers, Bill and John Wiley; and two sisters, Alene Collins and Mary Richter.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Barry Clardy of Princeton Pike Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
