Geraldine "Gerri" Gabbard, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Chesterwood Village on Monday, October 14, 2013. She was born in Livingston, KY on April 9, 1927 to Charles and Delia (Pennington) Clark. In 1946 in Covington, KY she married Herb Gabbard, and they were married for 55 years before his passing in 1999. Geraldine worked at Champion Paper Co. for many years.
She is survived by her son, Larry (Anne) Gabbard; 2 grandchildren, Bradley (Lindsay) Gabbard, and Ryan (Miranda) Gabbard; 4 great-grandchildren, Shawn, Ethan, Nathaniel, and Isabella; and a sister, Lucille (Dewey) Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Gabbard; parents; 3 brothers, Edward, Russell, and William Clark; 2 sisters, June Lakes, and Ruth Sowder.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Alan Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
