Gertrude Flynn age 91 of Hamilton passed away in Tri-County Extended Care on Friday September 25, 2009 at 2:10 AM. She was born in Cumberland, Kentucky on February 14, 1918 the daughter of T.J. and Josie (Canter) Crank. Gertrude was a member of the Princeton Pike Church of God and was employed as a cook for the Hamilton Public School System for 10 years retiring in 1983. On December 31, 1936 in Ravenna, Kentucky she was married to Herman Flynn and he preceded her in death in 1967.

She is survived by one son, Kevin Flynn of Millville, three daughters Berita Moss of Fairfield Township, Joan Craycraft of Columbus and Carleta (Virgil) Baumer of Hamilton, one sister Marjorie (Evan) Paul of Florida and also seventeen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Nadine Moon in 2003, six brothers Raymond, O.C., Norman, Leonard, Herman, and Levi Crank and also three sisters Helen Morris, Pauline Reffitt and Mabel Arnold, and a son-in-law Roger Moss in 2007.

Funeral services will be held at the Brown Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. on Monday September 28, 2009 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rick Witt pastor of Faith Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will be in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
