Gladys B. Combs

Gladys B Combs, age 90 of Hamilton, passed away at home on Thursday, July 2, 2015. She was born in Owsley Co., KY on October 2, 1924 to Leonard and Gracie (Durham) Edwards. Gladys was employed at Deerfield Company, retiring in 1979. She was a Charter member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and attended Greenhills Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Velma Ledford, Lee Etta (Rich) Mallicote, and Marvin (Nila) Combs, her grandchildren Dion, Deborah, Damon, Jessica "Cricket" (Andy), Shawn (Gini), great grandchildren, Cody, Ian, Ava, Iyla, Drew, and her sister, Rosalie (Bob) Bilyeu. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leroy Combs, her brothers, Pearl, Clarence, Forest, and Thomas.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 11AM-12 Noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
