Age 50, of Mason, passed away on June 14, 2012, at Hospice of Hamilton with his wife and family near. Glen was born October 1, 1961 in Hamilton, the son of Glen Max Stacy and Eugenia Weinrich Stacy of Oxford. He was a student at the McGuffey Laboratory School and graduated from Talawanda High School in 1979. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business in 1983 from Miami University. After a brief tenure in the logistics industry in Charlotte, N.C., he returned to Ohio in 1990 to assume the management of his family's business, Max Stacy Flowers, which he operated until his death. He was an advocate for the interests of small businesses and retail merchants, serving previously as Board Chairman of the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, among other voluntary efforts for the local community and floral industry. He is survived by his wife, Sally Foster Stacy, and their two children, Samantha and Daniel; his brother, Brad Stacy, Reno, NV; his sisters, Adrien Segal, Fairfield, and Sara Harig, Cincinnati. He lived a life enriched by the enjoyment of many friends, including his "Oxford buddies" from childhood with whom he remained close all of his life. His family and friends are grateful to God for the medical care he received during his illness and for the many prayers lifted on his and their behalf, particularly by the community of the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Vineyard Community Church, 11340 Century Circle East, Cincinnati, 45246, with visitation from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., and a memorial service immediately following. Pastor Andy Ransdell of Lifepoint Vineyard will preside. Memorial gifts may be directed to Melanoma Research Foundation (MRF), or to Back 2 Back Ministries of Mason.
