Glendia Lucille Winkle, age 82 of Hamilton passed away in Huntington Court on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 12:00 noon. She was born in Perry County, Kentucky on October 8, 1927 the daughter of Harrison and Lilly (Estes) Osborne. On November 7, 1942 in Estill County, Kentucky she was married to James Clay Winkle, and he preceded her in death in 2006.
She is survived by one son, James Clay (Karen) Winkle Jr. of Kuna, Idaho; one daughter, Anita Patrick of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Gardner Sparks.
Funeral services will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Donald Pierce, Pastor of Victory Pentecostal Church officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
