Glendon Hinkle

November 17, 1929 — March 30, 2014

Glendon Hinkle, age 84 of Seven Mile, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was born in Barbourville, Kentucky on November 17, 1929 to Lester and Mary (Hale) Hinkle. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952. He married Mattie Lewis on November 20, 1954 in Liberty, Indiana. Glendon was employed at Champion Paper for 34 years.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mattie L. Hinkle; daughters, Starlena Jo Wilkerson and Kimberly Jane (Robert) Myers; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jackie (Robert) Creekmore. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Helen Cole and Leamon Hinkle; and a great-grandson, Chase B. Stogsdill. The family would like to thank Dr. Krall and the hospice staff for their love and compassion during this difficult time.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM until time of service, (12:00 PM), Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Edgewood Baptist Church, 1010 West State St., Trenton, OH 45067 with Rev. Keith Risner officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Edgewood Baptist Church or Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton.
