Glenn Anthony Cabacungan passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 44, having embraced a life full of joyous experiences and adventurous travels. He is survived by his son Isaiah, whom he loved and was extremely pleased with, and by the love of his life, April.
“Glingo,” also affectionately known as “Ga-ling-ling,” was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on January 13, 1982, the son of proud parents Nelly and the late Guillermo, Jr., and little brother to Gigi (Tom), Genevie, Guillermo III (Alma), Gina (Mark), Gemma (Don), Georgette (Alan), Gerald (JoAnn), Ginger (Chris), and siblings Gladys and Geoffrey in heaven. Uncle Glenn will also be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, classmates, and his co-workers at Amazon.
Glenn was raised to love and serve the Lord, which he did as an altar boy, choir member, pianist, and cantor at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church in Hamilton, Ohio, and as a volunteer at Fort Hamilton Hospital. His spiritual gift of music shined throughout his life, from award-winning piano performances and an appearance in the high school production Oliver during his elementary school years, then joining the Rhapsody in Blue Show Choir and other theatrical productions at Hamilton High School, to playing the Peanuts theme song and other piano pieces for the enjoyment of the family. His fingers shocked audiences in more ways than one (IYKYK). Glenn passed along to his son a passion for music and the talent to entertain. Glenn was so proud to watch and listen to Isaiah play the mellophone, trumpet, saxophone, and guitar during band concerts at Miamisburg High School and Isaiah’s national marching band competitions where they consistently reached the finals.
Glenn attended Hamilton High School, where he played on the tennis team, donned the Big Blue Bulldog mascot costume at sporting events, and graduated as an honor student in 2000, and the University of Cincinnati where he earned Dean’s List honors and graduated in 2004 with a B.A. in English. He faithfully rooted for the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and his birthday wish in 2025 came true when The Ohio State University won the national football championship. Glenn especially enjoyed watching the Buckeyes football team and marching band (TBDBITL) in Columbus and shouting all the O-H-I-O cheers.
Glenn led a fulfilling life spending time with his son, studying the Bible, writing creative stories, winning trivia contests, playing video games, going to Kings Island, entertaining kids and loved ones at family gatherings, and seeing the world. His family hopes that those who knew him recall fond memories of his quirky personality and humorous exploits - and smile as a testament to the happiness he brought to others and the legacy of love he left behind for his son Isaiah, his family, and for God.
