Glenn Edward Smith

Glenn Edward Smith, age 49 of Williamsdale passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 5:00 AM. He was born in Hamilton on September 28, 1961 the son of James and Kathleen (Newman) Smith. Glenn was the owner/operator of Butler County Plumbing and a member of the VFW post 7670. He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan, Cincinnati Reds fan, and enjoyed Nascar, Bill Elliot was his favorite driver. Glenn also loved running the sound system for live bands, he was an avid fisherman and loved going fishing with his son, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. On December 24, 1983 in Williamsdale he was married to Henrietta "Hetta" Robinson.

He is survived by his wife, Henrietta "Hetta" Smith of Williamsdale; a son, Glenn Edward Smith Jr. and his fiancée Angela Gale of Williamsdale; his father, James Smith of Williamsdale; three brothers, Bruce Smith and his wife Debra of Seven Mile, Danny Smith of Williamsdale, and Mike Smith and his wife Ghilia of Hamilton; three sisters, Linda Hatfield and her husband Raymond of Seven Mile, Phyllis Reeves of Williamsdale, and Alice Colwell and her husband Shane of Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Smith; and a niece, Angie Hatfield.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Mike Smith and Pastor Jim Mullins, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Following the graveside service family and friends are invited to attend a gathering at the Overpeck Community Center, 2488 Summit Street, Overpeck, Ohio 45055.
