Entered her eternal home, Glenna Maxine Logsdon née Colwell, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 6, 2025. Her story began on February 13, 1933, in Hamilton, Ohio.
Maxine is survived by her four children: Greg (Vicki) Logsdon, Billjo (Linda) Logsdon, Kim (Vernon) Hoelle and Michelle Johnson also her caregiver, her seven grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, her precious sister Geneva Staton and sister-in-law Donna Zimmerman and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Pete Logsdon, sister Mary Logsdon, parents Herman and Dorothy Colwell, her mother-in-law Maudie Logsdon and father-in-law Elbert Logsdon.
Maxine was a 1951 graduate of Ross High School and married the love of her life on March 15, 1954. Starting at the age of 15 years old, she worked at Star Clothing until she was married. She volunteered for the schools and for the family nursing home. She also worked at the family-owned Hicks Manor Meat Store. She was a long-time member of Millville Ave Church of the Nazarene (Bridge Church of the Nazarene).
Maxine’s children would like to thank their sister Michelle Johnson for her dedication in the care of Mom. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 10-11 am at Bridge Church of the Nazarene, 308 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. The funeral service to follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Matt Gordon officiating. In lieu of flowers the family would request donations to the Bridge Church of the Nazarene.
