Gloria Lee Gray

Gloria Lee Gray, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Gloria was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 15, 1945 to the late Leo and Sue (Paolucci) Madaffari. Gloria graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School and married Jerry Gray. Together, they raised a family in Hamilton. As the children grew older, Gloria went to work at the animal adoption center and later worked at Hyde Park Play School. This position lead to her providing private babysitting and tutoring. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Peter in Chains parish for many years. Gloria enjoyed watching baseball and tending to her garden, but above all, she loved her family. She will be remembered for her selflessness – she always put the needs of others above her own. Gloria will be dearly missed by her children, Danny (Dawn) Gray, Gina Ann Gray; her grandchildren, Kacey (Josh) Gray, Christopher (Molly) Gray, Alyssa (Tyler) Gray, Jacob Gray, and Tabitha Gray; her great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Leonardo, Emilia, and Cecilia; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Gloria is reunited in Heaven with her husband, Gerald A. “Jerry” Gray and her son, Anthony Lee “Tony” Gray; and her brothers, William “Bill” Madaffari and John Madaffari. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio with Fr. Richard Walling officiating. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to Shayne with Helping Hands and Billy with Meals On Wheels for their care and compassion.
