Gregory Wayne Hammons

Gregory Wayne Hammons, age 38 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton at Sunrise on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 3:40 AM. He was born in Hamilton on May 26, 1969 the son of Bobby Ray and Jane Ellen (Taylor) Hammons. Gregory enjoyed watching football and was an avid Bengals fan. He attended Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God.

Gregory was a loving and devoted son, brother, and friend who will be sadly missed by his parents, Bobby Ray and Jane Ellen Hammons of Hamilton; a daughter, Cheyenne Blanton of Hamilton; siblings Kimberly (Dick) Swafford of Oxford, Melinda (Jeff) Mueller of Liberty Township, Dewey Gregory Hammons of Hamilton, and Robert Todd Hammons of Hamilton; and his grandfather, Mervin Parker of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Taylor; and grandparents Dewey and Ruby Taylor and Gladys Parker.

Funeral service will be held at the Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Willard Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
