Guy Sherman

Guy Sherman, age 87 of Hamilton, passed away at the Woodlands of Hamilton on Monday, December 9, 2024. Guy was born in Covington, Kentucky on May 6, 1937, to the late Henry and Ruth (Stagnaro) Sherman. Guy graduated from McNicholas High School and served in the U.S. Army. After his time in the service, Guy came back to Cincinnati and married Irene Dillhoff and together they raised a family in Hamilton. Guy was a proud member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 24. Guy enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending to his garden. He was a long-time member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Above all, Guy loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids.

Guy is survived by his wife, Irene Sherman; his children, Lori Sherman, Scott (Mary) Sherman, Ross (Melanie) Sherman, Eve (Kavin) Morgan, Todd Sherman, Eric (Jackie) Sherman, Leah (Joseph) Krazl, Ann (Daniel) Gallagher, Joseph (Vicki) Sherman; his grandchildren, Sean (Hanna), Casey, Sarah, Annelise, Andy (Kelly), Adam, Claire, Collette, Audrey, Maria, Kherrin, Khatarina, Kharlyn, Nolan, Kyle (Kathleen), Justin, Austin, Heather, Paige, Hannah, Luke, Abigail, Genevieve, Drew, Sabrina, Teddy, Celia, and James; his great-grandchildren, Isabella, Oakley, Jordan, Isaiah, David and one on the way; his siblings, Ruthanne Cauley and Mark (Mary) Sherman; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Guy was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Keri Sherman and his brother-in-law, Darrell Cauley.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 2550 Millville Ave., Hamilton OH 45013 with Fr. Jeff Silver officiating. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Shandon, OH.

Memorial gifts in Guy’s honor may be given to the Irene & Guy Sherman Family Scholarship at Badin High School .
