Gwenetta A. Murphy

Gwenetta A. Murphy, age 68, of Vincent, KY, passed away at Woodland Country Manor on Saturday, February 10, 2018. Gwen was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 13, 1949 to Eugene Tackett and Evelyn Sexton Tackett. She loved working for the Lord. Gwen was an active member of the church. She enjoyed working with children and established two Missionette ministries. Gwen was active and a leader in various women’s ministries. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, painting, ancestry research, playing various instruments and cooking.

Gwen is survived by her husband, Larry Murphy; children, Jennifer DeBoer, David (Kira) Murphy; siblings, David (Jenny) Tackett, Loren (Juanita) Tackett and Kimberly Franks; grandchildren, Madison, Alexandra, Tylor, Trevor and Justin; great grandchildren, Gabriel, Emma and Kayleigh, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Evelyn Tackett.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 12:00 PM with Brad Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
