H. Leon Fluckiger

H. Leon Fluckiger, age 58 of Hamilton passed away at McCullough-Hyde Hospital on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 7:08 PM. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on July 14, 1950 the son of Simon A. Sr. and Maude (Evans) Fluckiger. Leon was employed as a security guard at Merchant Security. He loved meeting people, and never met a stranger.

He is survived by a daughter, Samantha (Brandon) Felts of Hamilton; his mother, Maude Fluckiger of Hamilton; a brother, Simon (Kathy) Fluckiger Jr. of Hamilton; two sisters, Alice (Dean) Cornett of London, Kentucky and Nancy (Joe) Smith of Hamilton; special friends Carol Cope of Somerville and Claude and Mary Sweet of Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Wendell Coning of Hamilton Dream Center officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
