Hannah Lou Maupin

Hannah Lou Maupin, age 77 of Fairfield, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 1:44PM. She was born in Hazard, KY on January 21, 1939 to Cecil and Mable (Combs) Grimes. Hannah was employed at Butler County Care Facility for 25 years. She was a dedicated member of Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God and would sow quilts for the homeless.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Wayne Maupin, her children, Deborah (Hans) Podszuweit, Kenneth (Michele) Carew, Matt Carew, Timothy (Vickie) Carew, Jeffrey (Kathy) Carew, her grandchildren, Donald (Christine), Joshua, Rebecca (Tony), Jonathan, Christina (Joseph), Anthony, Tiffany, Kayla (Tim), Areena, and 18 great grandchildren, her brothers, Roger (Janice) and Joe (Betty) Grimes, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Rebecca, her brothers, Ray and Raymond, and her daughter-in-law, Linda Carew.

Funeral service will be held at Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God, 1321 Pater Avenue, on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10AM with Pastor Denny Matheny officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 5-8PM at the church.
