Harold B. Neal

Harold B. Neal, age 88 of Somerville, passed away at Woodland Country Manor on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Harold was born in Irvine, Kentucky on December 23, 1932 to the late Jesse, Sr. and Ida Mae (Campbell) Neal. Harold proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his time in the service, he married Lola Loretta Peters in Richmond, Indiana on March 17, 1956. Together, they moved to Hamilton, Ohio and he went to work for the water department, retiring as a supervisor after more than 30 years of service. Harold enjoyed fishing and was known for his ‘green thumb’ – he loved tending to his vegetable garden and lawn. Often, his work didn’t end with his lawn, as he was always lending a helping hand to his neighbor’s yards. Above all, Harold loved spending time with his family.

Harold is survived by his children, Debbie (David) Imhoff,

Tom (Karen) Neal and Mike Neal; his grandchildren, Jaclyn (David) Ludwick, Danielle (Mike) Smith, Zachary (Jenny) Imhoff, Chris Neal, Kim (Trey) Davis, Kenny Neal, Mandy (Justin) Burchfield, Branden Neal and Lylah Neal; his great-grandchildren, Grace, Courtney, Hallie, Kara, Mathew, Reese, Scarlet, Wyatt and Russell; his sister, Betty Ruth Shouse; as well as many extended family members and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Loretta Neal; his parents and many siblings.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, with Pastor Matt Superka officiating.  Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
