Harold Vaughn

Harold Vaughn, age 71 of Cincinnati, went home to be with the Lord, on February 17, 2016.He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 30, 1944 to Lenox "Hacker" and Bessie (Van Winkle) Vaughn. He was married to the love of his life Lillian Vaughn (Hampton) on June 20, 1975 in Reading, Ohio. They are faithful members of the Princeton Pike Church of God.

Harold began his career as a carpenter, alongside his father. He later discovered his true calling in life, which was to mend broken people, instead of things. He began working and eventually retiring as the Station Manager of WCNW 1560 am, using the "on-air" moniker of Mark Mitchell. His occupation gave way to a ministry. He became a beloved personality in a multitude of Church communities and the Gospel Music Industry.

He is survived by his wife and their devoted son Brian Vaughn; daughter-in-law, Sherry; and his adoring grandchildren, Alec, Erin and Ireland; also, his son Darrell (Sheila) Vaughn; grandchildren, Josh and Clint; sister, Marcella Baldwin; brother, Jim (Diane) Vaughn; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Geraldine (Harry) Jarvis; brother-in-law, Vernon Baldwin; dear nephew, Pearl Bradley; along with many other loved family members.

Funeral services will be held at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton Glendale Road, on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 12:00 PM with Pastor’s Barry Clardy, Ann Tucker and Fred Napier of Princeton Pike Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held immediately prior on Thursday, February 25, 2016 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the church.
