Harry F. Bowling

Harry F. Bowling, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, November 13, 2016. Harry was born in Mallory, West Virginia on November 2, 1934 to Homer F. Bowling and Lilly (Caudill) Bowling. Harry was a United States Navy Veteran from 1952-1955. He was a dedicated teacher at Butler Tech, where he loved connecting with students to encourage their continued education. On June 28, 1957 in Hamilton, he married Patricia Ponder. Harry enjoyed woodworking, and fixing things around the house.

Harry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Bowling; his children, David Bowling, Darren Bowling, Lori Warner; 9 grandchildren; 5 great granddaughters; 4 sisters, Wilma Venerable, Rita (Ray) Trunck, Patricia (Charles) Johnson, Mary (Neil) Gabbard. Harry was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Brittany Bowling; one brother, Charles Thompson; and two sisters, Jean Savage and Doris Smith.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sam Harnish of Park Ave. United Methodist officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN.
