Harry Burton Wyatt, age 94 of Hamilton passed away at Westover Retirement Community on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 1:15 PM. He was born in London, Kentucky on October 11, 1914 the son of John Gibson and Lena (Spitzer) Wyatt. Harry was employed as a paper maker at Beckett Paper Company for forty years, retiring in 1977. He was a charter member of West Side Church of Christ. On September 9, 1939 in London, Kentucky he married Ruby Opal Yaden.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Opal Wyatt of Hamilton; two sons, Sam (Debi) Wyatt of Fairfield Township and John (Janice) Wyatt of Camden; two daughters, Wanda Fern Day of Oxford and Freda Anderson of Hamilton; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ernest and Fred Wyatt; a sister, Hazel Rush; and a son-in-law, Larry Anderson.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Dan Knisley of West Side Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The family extends a special thank you to Westover Retirement Community and to Vitas Hospice for all their wonderful care and support.
