Harst W. Horn, age 83 of Hamilton, passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 29, 2017. He was born in Estill County, Kentucky on September 3, 1933 to Daniel andPearl (Isaac) Horn. Harst was retired from BFI after numerous years of service and was a veteran of the United States Army from 1953 to 1957.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann (Gary Jr.) Ridley of Hamilton and Brenda (Chris) Jacobson of Washington; five siblings, Frances (Steve) Smith, Bobby (Brenda) Horn, Elmer Whitesell, Delmar (Ruth) Whitesell, Donna (Jimmy) Henley, and Linda Lou Howdon; five grandchildren, Christina, Terry, Gary, Bobby, and Daniel; five great grandchildren; Hope Marie, Taylor, Blake, Payton, and Mason; a brother-in-law, Earl McIntosh; and very special friend, Peggy Gibbins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Horn; his parents, his two sons, Bobby and Billy Horn; and siblings, Elizabeth McIntosh, Faye Swihart, and Dillard and Richard Horn.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave.,on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com
