Hattie Stone, age 92 of Manchester, Ohio passed away at Meadowview Regional Medical Center on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 6:24 PM. She was born in London, Kentucky on November 12, 1916 the daughter of Isaac N. and Sarah (Boggs) Sturgill.
She is survived by a son, Donald Brockman of Manchester; two grandchildren, Wayne Brockman and Pamela Haven, both of Hamilton; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Golden, Cecil, Winfrey, Arly, and Virgil Sturgill; and two sisters Lillie Goodpaster and Esther Henderson.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
