Hazel Hymer

Hazel Hymer, age 84 of Mason went home to be with the Lord from Cedar Village on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 2:50 AM. She was born in London, Kentucky on February 5, 1926 the daughter of Crit and Rachel (Eagle) Combs. Hazel attended the Millville Avenue Church of God. On January 13, 1951 in Hamilton she married Paul Hymer who preceded her in death in 1980. Hazel was a very loving person who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed quilting and never met a stranger.

She is survived by two children, David Hymer and Donna (Jim) Posey, both of West Chester; six grandchildren, Dayna, Adam, Lauren, Jimmy, David Lee, and Kelly; a great granddaughter, Jaylin; a brother, Kenneth (Brenda) Evans of Winter Springs, Florida; and three sisters, Patricia Hymer of Hamilton, Jeri Ralston of Fullerton, and Claudette (Dennis) Honda, of LaPalma, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Crit Combs and Rachel Evans.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dale French of Eaton Road Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurse’s and staff at Cedar Village for all their care and support.
