Helen Joann Barsamian

Helen Joann Barsamian, age 91 of Hamilton, formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at Kettering Hospital Hamilton on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Known to most as Joann, she was born in Muncie, Indiana on October 31, 1933 to the late Roy Nunemaker and Maudie (Hartman) Lauer. Joann grew up in Hamilton and later moved to Columbus where she spent most of her life. Joann will be remember for her charming personality and warm smile.

Joann is survived by her son, Greg (Myra) Kalbaugh; her granddaughter, Katelin Kalbaugh; her sisters, Norma Eleton, Debbie Wagers, and Deidra Thieken; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Joann is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Joseph Barsamian; her siblings, Phillip Nunemaker, Thomas Lauer, and Nancy Murray.
