Helen Louise Miller

Helen Louise Miller, age 82 of Oxford passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 6:10 PM. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on August 21, 1928 the daughter of William and Martha (Baker) Wooten. Helen was employed as a sales associate at K-Mart for 17 years and was a member of Church of Christ in Oxford. On March 9, 1946 in Hamilton she married Neal Miller.

She is survived by her husband, Neal Miller of Oxford; a son, Tim (Karen) Miller of Oxford; a daughter, Stephanie (Jerry) Johnson of Oxford; three brothers, Jim Wooten of Reily, Ohio, Walter (Lola) Wooten of Ventura, California, and Lyman (Charlene) Wooten of Oxford; a sister, Pauline Seibel of Oxford; six grandchildren, Jill Pittman, Erin (James) Burnett, Matt (fiancée Lori Bower) Miller, Kate Miller, all of Oxford, Jayme (Beth) Johnson of Hamilton, and Jody (Darren) Walters of West Chester; and six great-grandchildren, Brianna, Christopher, Haley, Jackson, Jonathan, and Gunner. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Anna, Gertrude, Edna and Betty; and a brother, Doug.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mark Taylor of Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hospice of Hamilton.
