Helen F. Moore

Helen F. Moore, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Westover.She was born in Hamilton on August 22, 1924 to Joseph and Honorata "Nora" (Soltysik) Sadoski. She attended Notre Dame High School and graduated from Hamilton High School. Helen was united in marriage with Robert A. Moore on April 21, 1945 in St. Joseph’s Parsonage. Bob preceded her in death on January 13, 2004.

Helen was an avid bowler participating in a Monday night league at Columbia Bowling Lanes. In later life, she enjoyed Wii bowling with anyone that would bowl with her. Her hobby was genealogy, and she was a founding member of the Southwest Ohio Genealogy Society.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen(Bob) DeMonge; son, Robert (Mary Homan) Moore; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Eli) Esser, Barbara (Mike) Trimble, David (Lisa Beckman) DeMonge, Carin (Todd)Davis, and Jonathan (Sara Stephens) Moore; 9 great grandchildren, Emily and Abigail Esser, Drew, Zach, and Ellie DeMonge, Sam and Nola Davis, Calvin and Maggie Moore; and her favorite nieces, Marti, Linda, and Donna. She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Edward Sadowski, sisters, Anne Broderick, and Geneva Sadowski; and her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Church, 111 East High Street, Oxford on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Jeff Silver, celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association or St. Vincent DePaul Society in her honor.
