Hercus Napier, age 71, of West Harrison, Indiana, passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. He was born in Hyden, Kentucky on May 9, 1939 the son of Corbett and Dessie (Feltner) Napier. Hercus was retired from Ford Motor Co., Sharonville. He was a member and Past Master of Ben Franklin Lodge #719 F&AM and a member of Scottish Rite and York Rite. Hercus loved God, his country, the Masonic lodge, family and friends. 50 years ago, on July 15, 1961 in Hamilton he married Phyllis Cox. Hercus was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Napier of West Harrison, Indiana; two sons, Steve (Charla) Napier of West Harrison, Indiana and Kevin (Darlene) Napier of Hawesville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Chris, Dustin, Derrick, Jacob, Peyton, and Paige; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers and seven sisters; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with services by Ben Franklin Lodge at 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff of Mercy Hospital.
