Herman J. Bland

Herman J. Bland, age 85 of Hamilton, passed away at Bradford Place on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. He was born in Riverton, West Virginia on November 24, 1932 the son of Russell and Ona (Judy) Bland. On August 7, 1954 in Springfield, Tennessee he married Della Delbridge. Herman was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War with the United States Navy from 1952 to 1971. He was a member of Westview Church of Christ. Herman enjoyed repairing and selling lawn mowers.

He is survived by wife of 63 years, Della Bland; four children, Debra Elliott, Larry (Vicki) Bland, Tom Bland, and Anita (Chris) Harris; two brothers, Bryan (June) Bland and Dale (Nila) Bland; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Michael Bland.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 12:00 PM with Mr. Curt Colwell officiating.
