Herman Boss Carpenter

Herman Boss Carpenter, age 92 of Hamilton, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Herman was born in Wildcat, Kentucky on November 5, 1929 to Boss and Martha Sue (nee Jones) Carpenter. On October 13, 1949, he married Evelyn Fox. Herman was a millwright at Pillsbury for 30 years and retired from Fernald after 10 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and spent many years with his son, Ken, rebuilding cars.

Herman is survived by his children, Marie (Ken) Campbell, Martha (Steve) Petrak, Carol (Jim) Warren and Ken (Diane) Carpenter; his grandchildren, Christina, Becky, Sherry, Jennifer, Jonathon and Missy; his fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Herman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 68 years, Evelyn Carpenter; his son, William Herman Carpenter; and his siblings, William Carpenter, Carrie Alig and Harrison Gabbard Jr.

Visitation will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Darrtown Cemetery.
