Herman Croucher

February 20, 1929 — December 1, 2014

Herman Croucher, age 85 of Fairfield, passed away at his residence on Monday, December 1, 2014. He was born in Hamilton on February 20, 1929 to William and Sarah (Creech) Croucher. Herman was employed Champion International Paper for 35 years and retired in 1991. On May 17, 1952 he married Juanita Whitaker and together they enjoyed 62 ½ years of marriage. He was a dedicated member of The Pentecostal Highway of Holiness. Herman served our country in the United States Air Force from 1948-1952. Herman enjoyed fishing, hunting and singing for the Lord. He was also a pitcher for the Air Force team and the Champion International team.

He is survived by his loving wife Juanita Croucher and one son Herman (Deborah) Croucher; grandchildren Juanita (Kevin) Hampton, Thomas (Prescilla) Bennett, Heather (Kris) Butler and Joshua (Katie) Croucher; 12 great grandchildren; brother Steve (Judy) Croucher, sisters Geneva (Harold) Stigall, Edna Davis, Loraine Smallwood, Betty Jane Massey and Imogene (Ernest) Jarvis; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Pamela and her husband Thomas Bennett, three sisters Delthea Croucher, Dorothy Hilton and Margie Miller and three brothers Earl Croucher, Bert Croucher and Clyde Croucher.

Funeral service will be held at Pentecostal Highway of Holiness, 3470 Hamilton Middletown Road, on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 10 AM with Pastor Jerry Pascarella officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 5-8 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, Hamilton.
