Herman "Doug" Howard, age 68 of Fairfield passed away at Tri-County Extended Care Center on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 11:10 PM. He was born in Manchester, Kentucky on September 6, 1942 the son of Herman and Sarah (Moore) Howard.
He is survived by three brothers, James (Devona) Howard of Mansfield, Ohio, William (Lillie) Howard of Brookville, Indiana, and Dale (Jacqueline) Howard of Hamilton; one sister, Betty Howard of Fairfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Gary and Margaret Howard.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Barry Wilson of Hilltop Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you Tri-County Extended Care for all their care and support.
