Howard C. Hyatt

Howard C. Hyatt, age 73 of Hamilton, went home to be with Jesus at Mercy Hospital of Fairfeld on Monday, May 28, 2007 at 3:50 PM. He was born in Falmouth, Pendleton County, Kentucky on June 19, 1933, the son of John and Mary (Bishop) Hyatt. Howard was a member of the Full Gospel Church where he was song director, enjoyed fishing at the Champion Fishing Club and spending time with his family. He was employed as a molder for Hamilton, Black-Clawson, H.P.Deuscher and Keuthurn Foundries for thirty years, then was the owner of Howard Hyatt Dry Wall Company for fifteen years retiring in 1999 and currently employed at the Hamilton West WalMart. On November 17, 1951, in Jellico, Tennessee, he was married to Louise Lester.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rev. Louise Hyatt of Hamilton; one son, Edward (Kim) Hyatt of Hamilton; two daughters, Linda (Terry) Patrick and Judy (Steve) Hyatt-Wilson both of Hamilton; one brother, Cecil (June) Hyatt of London, Kentucky; one sister, Edna Rice of Cynthiana, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jason (Meridith) Patrick, Shauna (Tony) Smith, Stacy (Greg) Dodge and Brandon Hyatt; two great-grandchildren, Breauna and Alexis: and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Sgt. Lester Hyatt and Sgt. Edward Hyatt both in the Korean Conflict, Tollie and Virgil Hyatt; one sister, Bertha Adams.

Funeral services will be held at the Freedom House Church of God, 5346 Hamilton-Trenton Rd. on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Doug Smith, Rev. Ron Smith and Rev. Marvin Hocker. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
