Howard Simpson

Howard Simpson, age 94 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Howard was born in Red Bird, Kentucky on January 23, 1928 to Rufus Simpson and Fronia (Helton) Simpson.  He retired from General Motors in 1983 after 33 years. Howard loved feeding ducks, driving, and his land in Kentucky. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.

Howard is survived by his three children, James Simpson, David (Vicky) Simpson, and Loretta Perry; one step-son, Alfonso Smith Jr; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 5 sisters, Hester Settles, Cora Adkins, Sara Burton, Bertha Simpson-Jackson, and Mellie Winge; 3 brothers, Payton Simpson, Gardener Simpson, and Rufus Simpson Jr; and numerous other relatives and friends. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters, Rebecca Asher, and Doris Johnson; two sons, Terry Simpson, and Darryl Simpson; three sisters, Gwen Simpson, Martha Roark, and Thelma Fraiser; and one brother, Raleigh Simpson.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 7:00 PM with Jeremiah Strong  officiating.  Burial will follow at the Smith Family Cemetery in Ashers Fork, Kentucky on Saturday, August 20, 2022.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.  Condolences can be made at www.browndawsonflick.com
