Howard "Pete" Stanley, age 96 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 10:30 AM. He was born in Harveysburg, Ohio on March 26, 1918 the son of Howard and Birdella (Bogan) Stanley. Howard was employed by the carpenters union for numerous years. On December 19, 1953 he married Jessie Marie Cole who preceded him in death on March 24, 2011.
He is survived by three children, Karen MacBurney of Hamilton, Nancy Jean McPeak, and Beverly Owens; one sister, Barbara Irons of Waynesville; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Memorial service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
