Ida Nash

Ida Nash, age 93 of Hamilton passed away Friday, August 26, 2011. She was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on August 13, 1918, the daughter of William and Anna (Northern) Croucher. Ida was a lifelong member of the Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God. She was employed at Pease Woodwork for 38 years and Butler County Job and Family Services as a daycare provider for 20 years.

She is survived by daughter, Wilma Hayes; siblings, John Croucher and Grace Harp; grandchildren, Jack Sandlin, Sheila (Gary) Sams, Richard (Debbie) Sandlin, Ernie (Tammy) Sandlin, Tammy (Dave) Naylor, Chris (David) Hayes and Arthur Brian (Donna) Smith; 16 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; 3 great great great grandchildren; godson, BJ Higgins; and many other nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Nash; her parents; daughter, Anna Mae Nash; son in law, Carl Hayes; grandson, Mike; and siblings, Ira Croucher, Gilbert Croucher, Effie Still, Mary Wilkerson and Mattie Stang. The family would like to thank Michele Sams for her kindness during their last hours with Ida.

Funeral service will be held 11am, Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the Pater Avenue Free Pentecostal Church of God, 1321 Pater Ave, Hamilton with Pastor Dennis Matheny and Pastor Paul Marcum officiating. Visitation will be 5-8pm, Monday, August 29, 2011, also at the church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
