Ida Ward, age 92, formerly of Kettering passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. She was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on January 21, 1915 the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Jennings) Creech. Ida was a member of the Assembly of God, Kettering.
She is survived by her daughter, Caroldean (Robert) Swartwout of Liberty Township; brother, Cecil Creech of Goshen; two sisters, Cora Cecil of Colerain Township and Wanda DePauli of St. Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren, Michael (Donna) Swartwout, Linda (Roger) Wilkerson, and Eric (Donna) Swartwout; five great-grandchildren, Jason (Jessica), Justin (Bobbi), Deana, Brooke, and Courtney; and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ed, Glen, Clarence, and Ernest Creech; and three sisters, Garnett Cope, Angie Edster, and Myrtle Griffin.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, Hamilton, today, Friday at 11am with Pastor Shelly Hendricks of Covenant Apostolic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held today from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
