Imogene Cornett-Carr

Imogene Cornett-Carr (McAnear), 90, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 28, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Imogene was born November 16, 1935 in Jack County, TX on Carter Ranch. She has lived in Hamilton since 1965, where she was a pillar of strength and wisdom to all who knew her. She touched the lives of countless people with her kindness, generosity and unwavering love.

Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, George Carr, whom she married in January of 2005; her mother, Ima Elsie McAnear (Fenter); her father, Clyde Newton McAnear; and her brother, Dale Newton McAnear.

Imogene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her children, William “Bill” Aaron Cornett and his wife, Mary, Ronald Alan Cornett and Michael Anthony Cornett and his wife, Lynn; her step-son, Chad (Connie) Carr; her grandchildren, Amelia Uttrich and her husband, Troy, Serena Egbert, Sean Cornett, Katie Cornett, Brian Cornett, Cody Carr and his wife, Carrigan, Casey Carr and Cooper Carr; her great-grandchildren, Christopher Stephens, Syana Stephens, Taylor Egbert, Shyanne Zoellner (Rydian), Lindsey Uttrich (John), Colton and Callie Carr; her 10 great great-grandchildren; her niece and many other family and friends.

Throughout her life, Imogene was known for her passions and talents. She retired from First National Bank of Southwestern Ohio of Hamilton and Oxford after 35 years and H&R Block of Oxford after 40 years.

Her legacy will live on through the memories we shared, the values she instilled in us, and the love she gave. We take solace in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. She will forever be etched into our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013. Funeral service will follow on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro, Texas.
