Ina Jean Distler

Ina Jean Distler, age 73 of Lakeview, Ohio, passed away at the home of her daughter on Wednesday August 1, 2007. She was born in Hamilton on September 4, 1933 the daughter of McKinley and Margaret (Isaacs) Hymer. Jean served the public many years as a waitress. She was a member of Eagles Lodge # 3615 auxiliary, AMVETS Post 39 auxiliary, and Moose Lodge 1533 auxiliary. Jean enjoyed her retirement to Indian Lake and fishing. On October 2, 1972 in Hamilton she married Ervin J. "Butch" Distler who passed away September 23, 1998.

She is survived by her son, William C. (Bonnie) Clear of Pikeville, Kentucky; her daughter, Catherine A. (Todd) Bruno of Fairfield Twp.; Lisa Hyde of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, David (Kelli) Clear of Springboro, Steven Clear of New Miami, Becky, Jeannie, Christopher, Lauren, and Dominic; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Makenna, and Brooke; two brothers, Lester (Eva) Hymer of Middletown and Terry (Carol) Hymer of Hamilton; a sister, Linda (the late Jack) Trauthwein of Hamilton; her bestest friend, Debra (Jack) Innis of Lakeview; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends at Indian Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; James M Clear in 1972 and Ervin J. "Butch" Distler; a son, James M. Clear Jr.; and siblings, McKinley Hymer Jr., Yagel Ash, Shirley Postelwaite, and Earl Hymer.

A Funeral Blessing will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., on Monday, August 6th at 12 noon with Deacon Mike Mignery officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
