Irma Pennington

Irma Pennington, age 87 of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. She was born in Hamilton on August 16, 1927 to Winslow and Margaret (Peters) Steele. On August 3, 1950 in Liberty, Indiana she married Clyde Pennington.

She is survived by her children, Thresa (Dan) Fitzgerald, Daniel (Debbie) Pennington, and Billie Jo (Jerry) Abrams; 9 grandchildren, Julie (Chris) Roberts, Mark (Devin) Pennington, Michael McCollum, Amanda Fitzgerald Clark, Chris (Amanda) McCollum, Adam Fitzgerald, Megan (Joshua) Allen, Zachary McCollum, and Ben McCollum ; 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Brown, and Mary Ellen (Sam) Smart; and many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Pennington; brothers, A.B., Arthur, Clarence, and Billy Steele; a sister, Ardella Stewart; and her parents.

Visitation will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 11:00 AM followed by the Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
