Isaiah Johnson

Solomon Isaiah Johnson, age 26 of Cincinnati, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Isaiah was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on March 15, 1996 the son of James Edward Johnson and Cynthia Ann Hancock.

Isaiah is survived by his mother, Cindy Hancock; four brothers, Corey (Kelsey) Hancock, Jordan Johnson, James and Jaysean Johnson; loving grandparents, Janet and Vern Rayburn; aunts, Penny (Todd) Fannon, Becky (Steve) Myers, Beverly Johnson, Tammy (Andy) Thiemann, and Judy Wilson; cousins, Erica (Brady) Mudra, Jessica Fannon, Sean, Brendan, and Julia Myers, Wesley (Lindsey) Harrison, Jayonna Kennedy, and sweet little cousins, Logan, Ella, and Landon; also very special in his life, Jose and Jademarie Hernandez, special friends, Kyle May, Michael Beard, and Madison Simmons; and numerous other dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Johnson; grandfather, Richard H. Hancock; great grandparents, John and Pauline Lowery; and two dearest friends, Cameron Thomas and Zachary Johnson.

Isaiah blessed his family and friends with twenty-six wonderful years of laughter and smiles. He had a smile that would light up the room and a warm loving heart. Growing up Zay enjoyed playing sports, hanging out with friends, and spending special times with his family. He was a fun loving young man and a baptized Christian, who would want us to celebrate his life rather than mourn his death.

To honor Isaiah’s desire not to be the center of attention, his resting place will be at home with his mother where he always wanted to be. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Please share your favorite pictures and memories of Isaiah so we can all celebrate and smile together.
