Iva "Ivy" Mary Napier

Iva "Ivy" Mary Napier, age 84 of Hamilton passed away at Golden Years Nursing Center on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 8:15 PM. She was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia on June 2, 1925 the daughter of Walter Tipton and Margaret Jane (Kirk) Robbins. In 1948 in Leatherwood, Kentucky she married Edwin C. Napier, and he preceded her in death in 1995.

She is survived by two sons, James (Angelina) Napier of Jacksonburg, Ohio and Billy (Tina) Napier of Camden; two daughters, Edna (Robert) Evans of Ross and Opha Jane (Henry) Jones of Hamilton; a brother, Delmar Robbins of Columbus City, Indiana; a sister, Velma Cooper of Salem, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Vera Faye Richardson; a granddaughter, Samantha Richardson; and numerous siblings.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jacob Flannery officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home tonight from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
