December 6, 1950 — July 28, 2014

Jack Farmer, age 63 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on July 28, 2014. Jack was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor this past February. He fought a tough battle before succumbing to his illness on Monday. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 6, 1950 to William and Joyce (Ashley) Farmer. Jack served in the United States Army in Vietnam during 1970-1971. Jack was employed at Baker Concrete Construction Inc. for 35 years. Jack enjoyed many hobbies; hunting with his brother Jim, softball, golf, and in later years enjoyed dirt bike riding with his son and grandsons.

He is survived by his wife Claudia, his daughter Holli (Dennis Morrish), his daughter Carrie (Aaron Pence), and his son Adam (Samantha Moore); grandchildren Luke, Samuel, Emma, Eli and Dylan; siblings James Farmer (Connie), Jerry Farmer (Pat) and Janet Watson (David); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his in laws Donald and Eileen Winkler.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 10 AM. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America.
