Jack Garrison, age 61 of St. Clair Township passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 10:25 PM. He was born in Harlan County, Kentucky on May 25, 1946. Jack was employed as a press operator at Mosler Safe Company for 27 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge #36, Eagles #3986, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He loved, helped, and gave to children his entire life. On September 9, 1967 In Fairfield, he was married to Gloria Feltner.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Garrison of St. Clair Township; two beloved children, Angela Garrison and Kenny Garrison, both of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Daphne Kimble and Derek Smith; a brother, David Earl of Celina, Ohio; two sisters, Nancy (Mickey) Webb and Sue Wyatt, both of Middlesboro, Kentucky; aunts and uncles, Frank and Norma Jean Garrison of Pineville, Kentucky, Everett "Pedro" Garrison, Jim Garrison, Lola and Lonnie Napier, and Linda and Joe Schultz, all of Hamilton; two special nephews, Christopher and Eric Gray; a special niece, Ashley Mays; devoted cousins, Kathy Howard, Ann Hayden, Garrett Garrison, and Danny Garrison; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Garrison and grandparents, Garrett and Harriett Garrison.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Harold Thompson of Stahlheber Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
