Jack A. Lester, age 80 of Fairfield, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at 7:37 AM. He was born in Corbin, Kentucky on June 10, 1933 the son of George and Lena (Mooneyham) Lester. Jack was employed as in Press Maintenance at Continental Can for over thirty five years. On December 17, 1955 he married Margie Hurst and she preceded him in death in 2010.
He is survived by one son, Jack E. Lester of Murphy, North Carolina; and four brothers, Wayne (Malvery) Lester of Hamilton, Estil (Bonnie) Clarkson of Greenwood, Indiana, Gary (Carolyn) Clarkson of Fairfield, and Oral (Linda) Burke of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his father, George F. Lester; his mother, Lena Lakes; and his brother, George Lester.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Rick Witt of Faith Pentecostal of Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
