Jack C. McKewen, age 77 of Cincinnati, passed away at Drake Center on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 5:15PM. He was born in Cincinnati on March 27, 1937 to Jack and Bertha (Terzin) McKewen. Jack was employed Kroger for 55 years retiring in 2005. He was a member of the E.T. Carson #598 Masonic Lodge and VFCW Local 75 for 55 years, serving on the executive board. On July 2, 1960, he married Barbara Schrantz. He loved fishing, playing poker, and playing jokes.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara McKewen, two sons; Donald (Cheryl) McKewen and Richard McKewen; daughter in laws Kelly Mckewen and Kathie Wernke; four grandchildren, Megan, Kari, Bryan, Benjamin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Michael McKewen.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 1PM with Pastors Gary and Bobby Zoz officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 11AM – 1PM at the funeral home. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5PM-8PM at the Colerain Community Center, 4300 Springdale Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45251.
