Jack W. Thomas, age 82 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 11:07AM. He was born in Hamilton on October 16, 1931 to Melvin and Margaret (Loman) Thomas. On January 31, 1952 he married the love of his life, Arlene Marcum. Jack served in the United States Army from 1952-1960. Jack was a POW in the Korean War. Jack was employed at Beckett Paper Company for 42 years, retiring in 1988. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife Arlene, sons Garry, Randal (Constance), Ronald (Kimberly) and Donald (Kristina Brenner); 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchilddren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Russell Thomas.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11 AM with Jack Young officiating. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
