Jacqueline Duvelius

Jacqueline Lee (Elliott) Duvelius, age 71 of New Paris, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Jackie was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 27, 1953 to Howard Elliott and Ruth (Maus) Elliott. She attended Liberty Elementary School and graduated in 1971 from Lakota High School. Jackie worked in the payroll department for Lakota School District for 37 years. She grew up on a farm and loved raising and showing cattle and horses. Jackie had many dogs and cats throughout her life and grew up driving a 1952 John Deere 60 tractor. Jackie helped her father farm and milk cows; she was “daddy’s boy”. On October 6 of 1984, she married the love of her life, Don Duvelius. Jackie and Don have been members of the Liberty Township Historical Society and the Shorthorn Cattle Association for many years.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald Joseph Duvelius; sister, Pat Pose; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Ruth Elliott; sister, Dorothy Baker; two siblings who passed at birth; brothers-in-law, Dale Pose and Glenn Baker; and other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 5:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in Jackie’s name to the Darke County Cancer Society, 1111 Sweitzer St STE C, Greenville, OH 45331.
