Jacqueline "Jackie" Freid

Jacqueline "Jackie" Freid, age 79, of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Health Care on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 10:30 AM. She was born in Irvine, Kentucky on July 20, 1928 the daughter of Hubert and Beulah (Tipton) Horn. She was raised by Beulah and Ancil Proffitt. Jackie was a former employee of Pepsi Cola Bottling Company and a homemaker. On April 23, 1960 in Hamilton she married Jacob Freid Jr. who passed away on July 22, 1976. She and Jake enjoyed riding their Harley, caring for their yard, and camping with the family. She was a member of Millville Avenue Church of God.

She is survived by her children; Gloria (Carl) Bippus of LaVerne, California, Linda (Steve) Cox, Phyllis (Curtis) Moore, Treva (Warren) Pierce all of Hamilton, Christopher J. (Lisa) Freid of Trenton; 11 grandchildren: Tina, Brian and Angie, Melissa and K’Shonna, Rachael, Travis and Natalie, Daniel, Destiny and Derek; 12 great-grandchildren; and a dear friend Cleda House of Hamilton. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Horn; mother and step-father, Beulah and Ancil Proffitt; her husband, Jacob Freid Jr.; a grandson, Michael Warren Pierce; a sister, Earlene Crouch; and a great nephew E.J. Bishop. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., on Wednesday May 28, 2008, at 2:30 PM, with Pastor Stephen Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:30-2:30PM. Family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staffs of Hospice of Cincinnati, Golden Years Health Care, and Hawthorne Glenn for their care and concern.
